Unspoilt by progress ...
The Triton Inn forms part of the village Estate in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. Completely refurbished during the winter of 2006, The Triton boasts up to date facilities within a charming Victorian setting.
Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful countryside Sledmere is the ideal location for exploring some of the areas best kept secrets whether on foot or by bicycle. Situated less than 20 miles from the rugged Yorkshire coast and it's ever popular seaside attractions at Scarborough and Bridlington, and only 26 miles to the ancient and historic city of York.
Sledmere House - the stately home to Sir Tatton Sykes - is only a few hundred yards away and is open to the public from Easter to late Autumn; it is a must for visitors to the area. For more information visit www.sledmerehouse.com
Sorry but for the comfort of all our guests we don't allow pets in the pub.
Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is strictly forbidden throughout the premises. Anyone found smoking will be asked to leave.
Children are welcome until 8pm. Please note that we do not have a separate childrens menu but we will happily arrange for a smaller portion from the main menu for them. In extreme emergencies we may have a bag of chicken nuggets in the freezer.
Our restaurant and bathrooms are wheelchair friendly, but unfortunately, due to the age of the building and a winding staircase our accommodation is not suitable for disabled persons.
